And Whereas, in 2019, the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) made a commitment to
sponsor the OECS/ECCB International Netball Series for an amount of EC$120,000.00.
2. PARTIES a) The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank is a body established under Article 3 of the Eastern
Caribbean Central Bank Agreement 1983 and having its principal office at Bird Rock,
Basseterre in the Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis. It is the Monetary Authority
for a group of eight island economies namely - Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda,
Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia and
St Vincent and the Grenadines.
b) The Caribbean Netball Association
The Caribbean Netball Association (CNA) was established in 1974, following the
dissolution of the West Indies Netball Board (WINB) which was established in 1954. As
per the constitution, the aims and objectives of the Caribbean Netball Association are:
(a) to promote, foster and develop the playing of Netball in the Caribbean area;
(b) to encourage the growth of netball as a sport in the Caribbean area and by so doing
provide an opportunity for improved physical health and welfare;
(c) to contribute to National and International goodwill, understanding and
sportsmanship;
(d) to affiliate with organizations which may, from time to time, be approved of by the
Association;
(e) to employ the funds of the Association as shall be deemed to be in the best interest
of the game;
(f ) to encourage, control and regulate inter-territorial tournaments in conjunction with
netball organizations in the Caribbean region;
(g) to do such things that, in the opinion of the association, are incidental and conducive
to its carrying out of these aims and objectives.
