Talking Risk

Lord have mercy!! I hope you don’t plan to join the ECCB choir because it seems like you could only sing one tune! If you are so concerned, why you don’t just do the assignment?

So how do we manage that?

That brings me to my last question - let’s say someone has an assignment to do, but they want to go to a fete around the same time….

That is where we need to have a good recovery strategy, which is also a key aspect of risk management. The fact is, some things are unavoidable and recovery may be the only option. For example, you may have a situation where all the primary controls, back-up controls and back-up to the back-up fail. Very little can be done in advance to mitigate against such, so the focus would be on effective and efficient recovery.

I sure me ain’t call no name.

Wooiiieee – it seems like we should have talked about people risks!

I give up! You are like them ‘unknowns’ – recovery is your only option!

Anyway, I going make sure I read up all my risk articles because I hear that the Risk Office plan to have a quiz, and the prize is a ticket for music fest or white sands!!!

Anyway … Pardner, I really appreciate the time – I never realized is so much I didn’t know. I really learned a lot. I almost feel like a risk expert now.

For real … and even though it was a heavy topic, you really broke it down so we could understand and even throw in a few jokes. I liked that!

Well, it’s over and out for me …. It’s been really great TALKING RISK!
