OFFICE OF FINANCIAL CONDUCT IN A NUTSHELL

The OFC will be responsible for market conduct supervision for financial institutions licensed under the Banking Act

The OFC will conduct off-site supervision & onsite examinations as well as alternative dispute resolution (ADR)

OFC will be established within the ECCB as a separate department

The OFC will refer complex consumer complaints to a Financial Dispute Resolution Commission

The OFC is concerned with LFIs upholding consumer protection principles

The OFC will administer Codes of Conduct
