ECCB Communications Workshop for ECCU Media Practitioners The ECCB hosted a Communications Workshop for ECCU media practitioners on 26–27 March 2026 at ECCB Headquarters in Basseterre, Saint Christopher (St Kitts) and Nevis. The two-day engagement brought together 19 participants from media houses across the eight ECCB member countries, including professionals from print, broadcast, and digital platforms. The sessions provided a practical overview of the Bank’s operations and key priority areas, including: ; The mandate and functions of the ECCB; ; Monetary policy and its impact on ECCU economies;

; Safeguarding the ECCU financial system; and ; Financial stability and banking sector oversight. The initiative aligned closely with the Bank’s Communications Strategy, which prioritises sustained stakeholder engagement—particularly with the media—to foster transparency, build trust, and support timely awareness and understanding of key issues. The workshop met its objectives and received positive feedback from participants, strengthening relationships with regional media houses and contributing to increased positive earned media and coverage of the Bank’s activities, including the launch of the ECCB Strategic Plan on 31 March 2026. An initial count indicates that more than 10 related stories were published across the ECCU within three weeks following the workshop.
