awards are presented to the first second and third prize winners in the amounts of

$2,500, $1,500 and $1,000 respectively. Their respective schools receive

development grants of $1,500, $1,000 and $500. Additionally, the school that

submits the largest number of entries in the top 10 receives an award of $500 and

the mentor teachers who worked with the winners in each categories receive a

$500 (first place), $300 (second place) and $200 (third place).

c) ECCU Bank of the Year Awards . The objective of this competition is to

encourage commercial banks operating within the Eastern Caribbean Currency

Union (ECCU) to provide monetary and other forms of support to worthwhile

projects in the countries in which they operate. Bank of the Year Awards are

given to the commercial banks for implementing, participating in and promoting

programmes designed to improve the quality of life of the people they serve. The

awards are presented for contributions in the areas of:

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award would highlight the

importance of company values. The judges would seek to identify the

bank that has evidenced its positive influence on surrounding

communities through impactful sustainable projects. The winning bank

would have encouraged active employee participation beyond mere

financial contributions. In assessing the banks in this category, the

judges would consider:

 Need of the community (For example, environmental conservation;

programmes for at-risk youth, the elderly and/or women etc.)

 Programme uniqueness and creativity

Impact of the initiative

Employee engagement in the initiative(s)
