ADDING A DOCUMENT CATEGORY (AND ADDING IT TO THE MAIN

NAVIGATION MENU)

1. Click on the dropdown Content Manager 2. Highlight and click on Documents from the dropdown menu (see image above) 3. Under Actions , click on List Document Categories 4. Under Actions , click on Add Document Category 5. Add in Title 6. Add Archive Period (e.g. adding (3) will archive all documents three months prior to current date)

7. Add Description (if available) 8. Check the box next to Enabled 9. Click on Submit 10. Click on the dropdown Content Manager

12. Highlight and click on Content Pages from the dropdown (see image above) 13. In top left corner, under the title Manage Pages , click on NewPage 14. In the new page, first check the enable box 15. Insert a page title (in this case it will be the name of the document category you made in point [5]) 16. Scroll to Menu and link handling , select the page level under Parent Page a. Choose Publications 17. Next, check the box titled Top Menu Item 18. Under Override URL (Takes precedence) , type in the new url. E.g /documents/ID) a. Getting ID number: i. Click on the dropdown Content Manager

ii. Highlight and click on Documents from the dropdown menu (see image above) iii. Under Actions, click on List Document Categories iv. Under Actions , click on edit next to the one you wish to get it’s ID

vi. In the Address bar (see image above). The last number in the address is your document category ID number.

19. Scroll down and click on Submit to save.
