(3) The request must be sent to the Human Resource Department four (4) weeks in advance of the commencement of the service.

(4) The Human Resource Department sends its recommendation, along with that of the Head, Corporate Relations Department, to the Governor for approval.

(5) The Governor approves/disapproves the request and returns it to the Human Resource Department.

(i) If the Governor disapproves the request, the decision will be sent by the Human Resource Department to Head, Corporate Relations Department, who should advise the Resident Representative;

(ii) A new request should be made giving alternative arrangements to manage the operations. The procedures will be the same from (1) to (5).

(6) The Human Resource Department prepares an approval memo to the Accounting Department, advising the period of service, the name of the individual performing the duties and the recommended amount for payment.

(7) The Human Resource Department is responsible for informing the relevant parties and staff members of the name of the person performing the duties and the period of service.

(8) The Resident Representative must arrange for the individual to take an Oath of Secrecy and Declaration of Allegiance. The original copy of these must be sent to the Human Resource Department. The original copy is then sent to the Legal Officer by the Human Resource Department and a copy is retained on the files in the Human Resource Department.

NB: A PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ALL TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES AT THE COMPLETION OF APPOINTMENT.

1 Memo of request for the substantive Administrative Professional to manage the operations of the Agency Office during the absence of the Resident Representative for less than twenty (20) days. 1) Memo of request for individual other than the substantive Administrative Professional to manage the operations of the Agency Office during the absence of the Resident Representative.

2) Memo of request for individual performing duties as Administrative Professional during the absence of the substantive Administrative Professional.
